Kulin burst to life earlier this month for the second GenAg conference, with farmers travelling from across the State for a day of ideas-sharing.

Conference facilitator and Kulin Community Bank business development manager Tom Murphy put together a lively program of speakers from a range of organisations.

Presenters included Labor MP Darren West, Nationals WA leader Mia Davies, WAFarmers chief executive Trevor Whittington, WIFE Arthur River president Janelle South and The Sheep Collective founder Holly Ludeman, among others.

Held for the first time in 2017, the conference was the brainchild of the Kulin Community Resource Centre with the inaugural theme “The Spirit of Innovation”.

This year’s theme was “The Spirit of Connection”.

Presenters delved into a range of topics relevant to farmers both young and old, including succession planning, telling untold stories, politics and social media.
