WA feedlots are filling up and processors still have limited space this week, making shifting lambs even harder. Prices, on the other hand, have managed to hold firm, with lambs still bid at $6.60kg hot standard carcase weight. East coast markets have been flat for the past two weeks. This week, they went lower, with WA prices easing another 20¢/kg HSCW. On the east coast, liveweight depot prices dropped another 10¢/kg liveweight, but processor grids held firm at $3.50/kg HSCW in NSW. There are also butchers bidding $6.20 in Queensland, but on limited volume — and they are mostly booked out until April. Direct consignment goat prices: Cattle markets have been unchanged over the past week. The live export market in Queensland is showing levels of activity not seen in a long time, and annual weaner sales are seeing good demand, keeping the market liquid but supported.
