Livestock lead to step down
WA Meat Industry Authority chief executive Andrew Williams has tendered his resignation and will depart the centre for personal reasons.
WAMIA chairman David Lock said the board accepted Mr Williams’ resignation today.
“Since joining WAMIA in February 2015, Andrew has effectively led the organisation through a period of reform and leaves the organisation in a stronger position,” Mr Lock said.
“The board would like to thank Andrew for his commitment, drive and dedication to the position and the organisation and we wish him all the best for the future.”
Mr Lock said the board would work with Mr Williams to plan the date of his departure and commencing the process to recruit a new chief executive.
He said WAMIA and the Muchea Livestock Centre will continue to operate as normal through the transition to a new chief executive.
