The WA Bos Indicus Group (WA BIG) bull sale will be held on April 18 at the WA Livestock Salesmen's Association Coolina Sale Complex, Narngulu, commencing at 12pm.

A total of 98 bulls from nine studs will be on offer including 35 Droughtmaster, 59 Brahmans and four Santa Gertrudis.

There will also be four Santa Gertrudis PTIC heifers on offer.

Sale president John Butler said regular buyers should note that there will be 73 less bulls on offer than what was available last year.

Mr Butler said the drop in numbers this year was due to various vendors opting to sell bulls at an earlier date.

"Both Landmark and Elders will remain the acting agents at the WA BIG annual sale," he said.

"It will be a shorter sale, but we expect buyers will appreciate its capacity, especially when it comes to the quality offering."

First up in the Droughtmaster catalogue is an offering of 35 bulls from four studs.

Fieldhouse principals Ken and Shelly Mutton are pleased to offer another quality line-up of 20 bulls.

Viv Gill, of Ochre, will offer seven Droughtmasters, while Shalor stud will offer two bulls and Canterbury/Ryvoan six bulls.

Next to be sold will be 59 Brahmans from four studs.

Reg and Carole Teakle will offer 22 Oakvale Brahman bulls, Sue Paterson 10 Birrahlee bulls and Condamine/Kindillin nine bulls. David and Kathy Lovelock will offer 18 Canterbury and associated stud bulls.

In the Santa Gertrudis catalogue, an offering of four bulls from Alan and Pauline Gould's Wendella stud will be catalogued, followed by four Santa Gertrudis PTIC heifers.
