WA dealers get hands on with X8

CF Moto's new X8 ATV has hit the WA market.

A launch day was held at Perth's RAC driving centre, where seven WA dealers hit the track to test the machines themselves.

With a 4-stroke, 4-valve, V-Twin, 800cc, liquid-cooled engine, the X8 attracted a lot of attention. The X8 also has 14-inch alloy wheels with Innova tyres and a towing capacity of 450kg.

The CF Moto range of ATVs has been made for Australian conditions and lifestyles and are fast becoming a fixture in the local agricultural market. On-road ready, the range is proving popular across the State.

Peter Smith, of Kimberley Scoot and ATVs in Broome, said he had already sold an X8, with more inquiries coming in.

"There's been a lot of interest and in the Broome area they are used for farming and leisure," he said.

Bill Philip, of Mandurah Scooters, said he was impressed by the CF Moto product range.

"They are well designed, well executed and a bloody good product," he said. "We were at the Harvey show a couple of months ago where it was cold and rainy but there was still a lot of interest.

"We've been selling them for years. People flog them but always come back."

Mike Hambridge, of Mike's Motorcycle and ATV Services, who works in conjunction with Mandurah Scooters, said the CF Moto range had a high level of quality control.

"What we're seeing is they don't come back into the workshop once they're sold," he said. "They're well built."

He said the beauty of the range was there was a vehicle for every rider.

"The 800cc has a lot of power but the 500cc has manoeuvrability," he said. "The X5 and the X6 with the long wheel base are crackers."

Price was another aspect winning points according to dealers, with the range of ATVs showing great value for money.

In WA, 2000 ATVs are sold each year, across all brands.

CF Moto WA representative Dale Hillan said the reputation of the company was building.

"The market share figures reflect we're doing something right," he said.

The CF Moto brand consists of motorcycles, scooters and ATVs which are manufactured in a factory in China's Zhejiang region, where 60,000 vehicles are made each year, as well as parts.

In Australia, CF Moto vehicles are distributed by Mojo Motorcycles, which was established eight years ago and is the exclusive distributor of TGB scooters, Daelim motorcycles and scooters, as well as CF Moto motorcycles, scooters and ATVs.
