From pigpen to proposal
When former Tambellup farmer Toby Hilder displayed his Large Black sow and piglets at the Perth Royal Show in 2011, he did not win a ribbon, but he won something better - the girl of his dreams.
Herne Hill visitor Megan Connor was so attracted to Toby that she made a return trip to the Show a couple of days later just to see him.
"It was his eyes, I found them alluring," Megan said.
Now, two years later, the relationship has blossomed and Toby makes a commute every weekend to Herne Hill to be with Megan.
At this year's Royal Show, Toby chose to make the union official and proposed to a surprised Megan at the main show arena, in front of hundreds of spectators.
"It was exactly two years ago to the date we first met," Toby said.
"I'm rapt she said 'yes'."
