GMO decision this week

Justice Kenneth Martin will deliver his long-awaited decision in the landmark GM canola case on Wednesday at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
Kojonup farmers Steve Marsh and Michael Baxter went to court in February over allegations Mr Baxter's GM canola contaminated Mr Marsh's organic crop.
Last Friday, the two parties involved in the high profile legal battle were notified of Justice Martin's pending decision
The Pastoralists and Graziers Association has supported Mr Baxter over the case and says the viability of the agricultural sector is at stake.
"For the sake of mainstream agriculture we're hoping Mike Baxter wins," PGA Western Graingrowers chairman John Snooke said.
But the Safefood Foundation, which has championed Mr Marsh's right to farm free of what it says is a GM incursion, says it is hoping the decision will come down to common law.
"We're hopeful the judge will decide in Steve's favour on this point," Safefood Foundation director Scott Kinnear said.
"This would be consistent with the application of common law in agriculture to similar issues relating to on-farm incursions."
