Hats off to Elders

Elders has taken out the most Outstanding Exhibitor Award at the Dowerin field days.

The company is calling it a 21st birthday present for its shed, which has become a feature of WA’s premier agricultural event.

Elders has been a stalwart of the field days, but despite Mid West, pastoral and eastern Wheatbelt regional manager Peter Storch having attended since 1988, it was the first time he could remember winning an award.

“As the regional manager in Northam in about 1990, we decided to build this shed because we used to have a tent but we wanted an upgrade, ” he said.

“The shed is the backbone of our display. We’ve had a lot of complimentary feedback on the design of the shed.

“The overall general presentation was outstanding. I actually sent an email to staff before we won the award to let them know how wonderful it was.”
