Quarantine watch for AFL fans
Quarantine officers at Perth domestic airport and border checkpoints will be kept busy over the coming weeks as AFL fans move between Perth and the Eastern states for AFL finals.
Department of Agriculture and Food Director of Border Biosecurity Greg Pickles warned fans to protect WA's biosecurity.
"We don't want anything coming over the borders that could threaten our biosecurity, agricultural industries and economy," Mr Pickles said.
"All foodstuffs, animal and plant material need to be declared at our borders at the airport or at road checkpoints," he said. "This includes fruit, vegetables and honey and seed."
