Mukinbudin grower Jeff Seaby will be the only new director to join the CBH board this year, with the incumbents for Districts 3 and 4 holding their challengers at bay.

The grain co-operative announced the results of its three-zone director elections today, with Mr Seaby – of District 2 – set to be officially appointed at its 86th annual general meeting this Friday.

In what was described as a highly contested election, district three director Kevin Fuchsbichler, of Bruce Rock, retained his seat, as did Pingrup grower and district four director Trevor Badger.

CBH chairman Wally Newman said it had been a tightly-contested election.

“Congratulations to Mr Fuchsbichler and Mr Badger on their re-election - we welcome you back to the CBH board,” he said.

“On behalf of the board I warmly welcome our newly appointed Mr Seaby, who will bring a wealth of knowledge, ideas and capability to our board.

“We look forward to working with Jeff as we continue our journey of delivering greater value to our growers.”

The directors will be appointed at CBH’s 86th annual general meeting on Friday.
