Sheep and cattle kingpins party at PGA forum

Kingpins of the Australian sheep and cattle industries mingled with farmers from across WA as the Pastoralists and Graziers Association of WA wrapped up its two-day convention with a gala dinner at Crown Perth last Friday night.

The two-day convention was held at Botanicals, kicking off with a pastoral forum on Thursday before the convention on Friday.

Australian Live Exporters’ Council deputy chief executive Alastair James and Hancock Agriculture general manager George Scott joined staff from a range of live export shipping companies, pastoralists and farmers from across WA and other industry representatives — including WAFarmers vice-president Steve McGuire and Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association chief executive Emma White — at the dinner.

The main raffle item of the night, a Weber Q barbecue, wine and meat pack, was won by The Sheep Collective founder Holly Ludeman.

Halleen Australasian Livestock Traders business development manager John Cunnington took home the Perth Wildcats package for second place.

The third raffle prize went to Rob Gillam, of Dongara, who took home a $150 voucher for Crown Perth.
