Perth radio star Juelz Jarry has been left confused and fed-up after an online troll consistently targeted her weight, even claiming she is transgender.

The Hit 92.9 breakfast radio co-host has endured 21/2 months of online bullying from various “fake accounts” on Instagram but has decided to speak out so that young people online know that it’s unacceptable behaviour.

“Originally they were just trolling my personal page and then it moved onto the work Instagram pages and then I just said you know what? I’ve had enough,” Jarry told Confidential.

“It will be a fake name and when I go to click on it they will have no post they've got no followers and they are following 20 or so pages.

“I would block them, and then within half an hour, 45 minutes there would be another account (created).”

Jarry believes the same person is behind the attacks, creating nearly 25 new accounts, with a new one popping up every time she manages to successfully reports the previous attacker.

“They will target my weight, how I look, one of the things they were saying is that I’m trans ... really physical things,” she said.

The comments suggesting Jarry might be transgender struck a chord.

“I think a comment because I am Filipino? I’m not sure... but they just run with this saying that I’m a lady boy, that I look like Pete (Curulli, her co-host), that Pete and I look like brothers.

“I’m not saying that affected me at all, but it’s just like I am female . .. I’ve got cousins that are transgender, and I think I am really defensive of that because of the community, they cop a lot and that’s one thing they (the trolls) do keep targeting ... purely I think because they know it’s something I have reacted to in the past.

“But what’s wrong with that (being transgender), even if I were? I didn't want other people especially young kids to see that that was OK on social media, I really wanted to put a stop to it.”
