Leah and Justin have fallen into Susie’s honey trap just like retirees who hand over their credit card details to Nigerian princes on the phone.

It’s the most obvious storyline we’ve been treated to in a while, but there’s still something so gratifying about seeing Leah and Justin’s dreams being crushed.

Justin is relentless with his phone calls but Susie is ignoring them.

Maz wants Irene to say something but she “needs concrete proof” of Susie’s modus operandi.

But after hearing their frustrations — she can’t really ignore them, they are in the diner — Irene decides to tell them she has her suspicions.

Irene approaches their table with great hesitance and says she doesn’t trust Susie.

Maz pipes up in her sweet high pitched voice: “Don’t forget about the poisoning”.

They barge into John’s house.

Susie must have done this before because she’s not threatened in the slightest.

She plays it cool saying it’s just a misunderstanding and blames it on “all the clueless millennials in real estate”.

She does raise a good point…

John just stands by her side. He’s just happy he’s scored another 10.

Back at the diner, Willow does some digging and there’s no record of a real estate agent called Susie McAllister.

“Irene, I don’t think Susie McAllister exists,” she says.

Irene breaks the news to Justin and Leah.

“Guys, there is no easy way to say this. There is no Susie McAllister working in real estate,” Irene says. “She doesn’t exist.”

“So if Susie isn’t real who did we give all our money to?” Justin ponders.

Later on Justin and Leah have a meeting with Susie but she doesn’t show because she’s busy making a quick getaway will all her stolen funds.

We get shown a duffle bag filled with cash, just in case we weren’t convinced she’s a con artist.

Over at the hospital Ari won’t be pressing charges on Paul and Leon.

I suppose he wants it to end for good. Plus his brother did bash one of them.

Now just hours ago Mia was in her Victorian mourning outfit devoted to Ari’s bedside and since his miraculous full recovery — minus the punctured lung and the broken ribs — she hasn’t been to visit.

As far as Ari is concerned, Mia still hates him.

Frankly I’m surprised he remembers everything but I shall credit Budget McDreamy’s exemplary doctoring skills. Remember he’s (probably) the best neurosurgeon in the world.

“How I feel about Mia will never change,” Ari says to his brother from his hospital bed. “She was right though, I put all of you in danger.

“I don’t like how things turned out but maybe this is the universe’s way of saying this is how things were meant to turn out.”

Then Mia makes an appearance at the hospital.

“It’s over now, Mia,” Ari says referring to the ongoing vengeance between his family and the thugs.

“You nearly died,” Mia says. “I don’t know how to go back to a life where I’m worried if you’re going to come home or not.”

Mia holds back her tears and leaves the room.

“Don’t go,” Ari yells out from bed.

Ari tries to go after her but any movement he makes results in excruciating pain.

But good news for Ari because Tane rocks up and goes after her to put in a good word for Ari.

Mia is hostile as per usual, but that might just be her face.

“Don’t punish him for trying to protect his family,” Tane says.

Tane tells Mia that Ari had nothing to do with the thugs and Tane was the one who did a dodgy deal with them and ruined their lives.

“I promised him and I promised you I will never make that mistake again,” Tane says.

Mia’s face remains the same but we know she’s weighing up telling Ari she loves him or not.

I think she will but Mac will play into it somehow and everyone will end up alone.

Finally, we get to Bella and Willow.

Sadly we are not spared from hearing their deep and meaningful conversation about betrayal.

They share a poignant and emotional moment and they both start to well up.

Willow explains she “regrets” that she doesn’t have Bella in her life anymore.

Bella later admits that she misses Willow despite her trust issues and says she doesn’t want to do more talking (thankfully) and is ready to hang out again.
