Settling this week, the City Beach house renowned for its curved concrete exterior sold for $9.75 million to Shane Smith, who owns In Front Business Solutions. Mr Smith said he chose the five-bedroom, five-bathroom, nine-car garage home partly for its secluded location and proximity to Hale, where his children attend.

The Truro Place home has views over both the ocean and the virgin bushland of Bold Park.

The David Hillam-designed home includes 1000sqm of living space over three floors, including a separate guest apartment, an au pairs quarters, a master suite and three king-size minor bedrooms, a home office and client reception area, a wine cellar and an elevator.

It was sold through Scott Swingler, who will soon open Shore Property.
