Albany Detectives seeking information on theft of 14 firearms from Napier property

Albany Detectives are seeking information after 14 firearms were stolen from a gun safe at a Napier home over the weekend.

Sometime between noon on Saturday and 4.15pm on Sunday, 14 guns went missing from the safe inside the home, including seven pistols, four rifles, a shotgun, a revolver, and a magnum.

The firearms stolen are a Colt 45 ACP Pistol, Smith & Wesson 357 Magnum Revolver, Glock 40 Smith & Wesson Auto Pistol, Hammerli .22 Pistol, Smith & Wesson 44 Remington Magnum, Walther .22 Pistol, Hammerli .38s Pistol, CBC 22 Hornet Rifle, Sharp Innova 177 Air Rifle, Stirling 410 Bore Shotgun, Marlin 30-30 Winchester Rifle, Anschutz .22 Rifle, Feinwerkbau 177 Air Pistol, and Glock 9M Pistol.

No ammunition was reported missing.

Albany Detectives are asking anyone with information on the burglary, the whereabouts of the firearms, or any suspicious attempts to sell firearms matching the descriptions provided to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

The burglary is the second major firearm theft in the region this year after 12 firearms went missing from a Frankland River property in February.

Eight of the firearms have since been recovered with four found by drug and firearm squad officers at a Bibra Lake property in February and four by Albany detectives while executing a search warrant in Katanning in April.
