WARNING: Descriptions of domestic violence.

A woman has allegedly been chained up and brutally assaulted inside her NSW home.

Police claim a 34-year-old man kidnapped and detained his 32-year-old partner, subjecting her to horrific alleged attacks inside their home on The Esplanade at Oak Flats.

It’s alleged he sexually assaulted her amid “ongoing physical assaults” between July and August last year. The victim suffered multiple fractures to her eye socket and ribs.

NSW Police will allege “on one occasion, scissors and a meat tenderiser were thrown at her”.

The 34-year-old man was arrested at the home in August last year and refused bail.

He remains before the courts facing five kidnapping and domestic violence-related charges.

Following further legal advice, six additional offences have been laid, including for alleged coercive control.

He is now also charged with Sexual intercourse without consent (DV), Common assault (DV), Intentionally choke person with recklessness (two counts), Assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), and Intend abusive behaviour coerce/control intimate partner (DV).

The man is scheduled to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday.
