A long-time partner in Broome’s ongoing success, DevelopmentWA remains pivotal in helping ensure that land supply and development continue to encourage future growth and investment.

Broome North

A master planned 700ha development, Broome North will provide housing, business opportunities and community facilities for up to 12,500 new residents.

Waranyjarri Estate, the first residential precinct in Broome North, combines innovative thinking with climate-responsive and water sensitive urban design.

Looking to the future, new precincts will provide additional residential lots that are affordable, aspirational and incorporate more innovative climate- sensitive design.

Also part of Broome North, and only 4km from the town centre, Blue Haze is a light industrial area designed to help support the increasing demand for industrial land.

Additionally, a new district centre is planned adjacent to Gubinge Road. It will include a shopping centre, residential lots and the extension of Tanami Drive, creating a continuous link from Broome Drive to Sanctuary Road and Cable Beach.

Plus lots, lots more

Broome residents really are spoilt for choice with the now completed Janaburu Six Seasons estate, ideally situated right next to iconic Cable Beach.

As for jobs for all these extra residents? Once complete, Broome Road Industrial Park will support 1500 workers across 70 businesses. Stage two is already in the making.

Relocation and revitalisation

On behalf of the Shire of Broome, and with significant input from the shire, motocross club and local motorsports community, DevelopmentWA has project managed the Broome Motocross relocation — with its all-new world class track as the first tenant of a new master planned motorsports facility on Cape Leveque Road.

As part of our joint steering committee with the Kimberley Development Commission and the Shire of Broome, the revitalisation of the Chinatown district is almost complete, significantly changing the streetscape of the town centre.

These are just some of our activities in Broome.
