A crash in Broome on December 5 has left a 47-year old male in hospital with life threatening injuries while the major crash unit continue to investigate the incident.

According to police, a SYM motorcycle travelling north on Robinson Street and a Toyota Prado station sedan travelling west on Louis Street collided at 2.30pm on Friday.

The motorcyclist was taken to Broome Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

Major crash investigators are examining the scene and appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
