Crowd of big hearts brave the cold for Sunday’s Walk to Defeat MND in Bunbury

An impressive crowd with big hearts and determination gathered for a 4km charity walk to raise funds for MND in Bunbury on Sunday morning.

Organisers of this year’s Bunbury Walk to Defeat MND said about 175 supporters took part, and were all smiles despite the dreary weather.

MND WA events manager Sarah Wile said she was grateful for the support and the opportunity to shed light on Motor neurone disease in the South West.

“It’s always exciting and it’s really nice that we can get down to regional areas and show support to the people living down this way with motor neurone disease,” she said.

“We want to be here for those affected here, not just the ones that live in Perth.”

It is the sixth time the event has been held in Bunbury, with families impacted by MND and the community coming together to raise money and awareness for the cause.
