Coronavirus live blog: No new COVID cases in WA but NSW reports 18 infections

A plan to fix the vaccination rollout is being prepared for the Federal Government, with workplace vaccinations and incentives for Australians to get the jab both on the table.

COVID-19 Taskforce commander Lieutenant General John Frewen will deliver the new plan after meeting with Australian business leaders tomorrow.

Earlier today WA announced no new cases of community transmission of COVID-19 recorded overnight.

But there are two new cases of COVID-19 in hotel quarantine in addition to the case from the MV Emerald Indah vessel announced yesterday.

NSW recorded 18 new coronavirus infections and Premier Gladys Berejiklian will announce tomorrow when a lockdown in Sydney and surrounding regions will end.

The numbers as they stand: WA recorded no new cases today, NSW reported 18 new infections and Queensland had one new case. As of yesterday, the Northern Territory had 10 cases and South Australia six cases.
