AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 49,089,980 vaccine doses administered in the national COVID-19 rollout up to Thursday, including 305,665 in the previous 24 hours.

* Of that total, 30,199,492 have been administered by Commonwealth facilities, an increase of 240,568 in the previous 24 hours.

* State and territory facilities have administered 18,890,488 vaccines, an increase of 65,097 in the previous 24 hours.

* More than 95 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 93.2 per cent are double vaccinated.

* A total of 7,333,843 adults have received more than two doses - a booster or top-up shot - an increase of 232,867 in the previous 24 hours.

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* 40,175 new cases: 13,333 in NSW, 12,755 in Victoria, 9974 in Queensland, 1846 in South Australia, 734 in the ACT, 584 in Tasmania, 940 in the Northern Territory and nine in Western Australia.

* The national death toll is 3536 (+133): Victoria 1939 (+39), NSW 1268 (+70), Queensland 172 (+18), South Australia 105 (+five), WA nine, ACT 26 (+one), Tasmania 17 and the NT two. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 365,742,939

* Deaths: at least 5,636,042

* Vaccine doses administered: 9,892,070,558
