LATEST COVID-19 DEVELOPMENTS:

* Sydneysiders will mask up for an extra week and wait for extra vaccine doses while hoping the number of mystery cases in NSW does not surpass one.

* The state recorded 10 new locally acquired infections of COVID-19 on Tuesday - including an eastern suburbs child - bringing the number of cases linked to the Bondi cluster to 21.

* When asked whether a snap lockdown was likely for Sydney, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she had a "degree of confidence" in the situation because all but one of the new cases were linked to existing cases.

* A flight attendant infected with COVID-19 while in hotel quarantine has spread the virus to a man at a Brisbane venue attended by more than 30 other people.

* The man was at the Portuguese Family Centre at Ellen Grove in Brisbane on Saturday night at the same time as the infected flight attendant.

* Queensland authorities believe the risk posed by its latest case of community transmission is low.

* Victorians are being welcomed back to other states, although they will have to wait until later in the week before COVID-19 restrictions ease at home.

* South Australia and Queensland announced they would reopen their borders to Victoria from Friday, in time for the southern state's school holidays.

* Tasmania and the Northern Territory opened their borders to Greater Melbourne overnight, while the travel bubble with New Zealand is set to resume from Wednesday.

* New Zealand health authorities have left the trans-Tasman bubble in place with NSW but are carefully watching the Bondi cluster.

* The Victorian government continues to criticise the "shambolic" federal vaccine rollout with more complaints about supply issues.

* Health Minister Greg Hunt has increased Victoria's allocation from 407,000 doses in June to more than 560,000 in July.

* The AFL's two Sydney-based clubs are temporarily relocating to Melbourne on Tuesday night as a result of the harbour city's intensifying COVID-19 situation.

AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 6,719,384 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Monday, including 128,643 in the previous 24 hours.

* Of the total, 3,988,286 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 59,553 in the previous 24 hours).

* 3,571,994 have been issued in primary care (+57,816) and 416,292 in aged and disability facilities (+1737).

* 2,731,098 have been administered by the states and territories, including +69,090 in the previous 24 hours.

* 926,876 have been administered in Victoria (+20,031), 694,125 in NSW (+18,045), 448,225 in Queensland (+13,944), 247,770 in Western Australia (+4643 ), 189,565 in South Australia (+8,115), 98,552 in Tasmania (+1771), 73,745 in the ACT (+1180) and 52,240 in the NT (+1361).

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Australia reported 11 new local cases on Tuesday; 10 in NSW and one in Queensland.

* There were four new overseas acquired cases in hotel quarantine; two each in Victoria and Queensland.

* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 178,789,000.

* Deaths: at least 3,873,000.

* Vaccine doses administered: at least 2,648,420,000.
