Man fined for failing to self quarantine after arriving in WA from over east

A 44-year-old man has been fined for failing to self quarantine after arriving at Kununurra airport.

The man was subjected to a Self-Quarantine Direction for 14 days, after arriving from interstate on on 29 June 2020

However, police say the man attended a gym and a licensed premises in Kununurra the next day.

Police spoke to the man and warned him to immediately self-quarantine - but he was spotted entering another licenced premises nearby.

The man was fined $1000 for Fail to comply with a Direction under the Emergency Management Act.
