Kalgoorlie Detectives urge community to be ‘on alert’ after firearm incident on Thursday
A Goldfields community is being urged to “be alert but not alarmed”, with police warning two men entered bushland before firing a gun in what could be a targeted attack.
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident, which police say happened near homes in bushland, in Boulder about 6pm on Thursday.
“Two males on a motorcycle were in bushland on the corner of Azamor Drive and Brackleman Drive, when it’s believed one the males discharged a firearm,” a WA Police statement said.
“The males then left the area on a motorcycle.”
“Police are investigating whether it was a targeted attack and, based on the investigation to this point, request that the community be alert but not alarmed.”
Kalgoorlie Detectives are seeking information from the public concerning the incident.
