A man will front court over a wild police chase which came to a crashing end in Perth’s east on Sunday night.

Police allege a 22-year-old man failed to stop when officers activated their lights and sirens after spotting a stolen Toyota Hilux on Manuel Crescent in Redcliffe.

But the chase came to a dramatic end when the Hilux collided with a Toyota Yaris parked on Stanton Street, causing the four-wheel-drive to flip and finish on its roof in the front yard of a home on Second Street.

A 31-year-old passenger in the car suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

Police say he was thrown from the vehicle and they suspect he was not wearing a seatbelt.
