South West man charged after shooting gun near family in Augusta

A 56-year-old man who allegedly fired gun shots near his family members near Augusta is due to appear in court today.

Police say the incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning on Molloy Island.

It’s alleged he shot his firearm near family members — but luckily no-one was injured.

The Molloy Island man has been charged with endangering life, health or safety of a person, being armed in a way that may cause fear and possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

He’ll face the Bunbury Magistrates Court later today.
