Thugs on run after armed campervan robbery near Rockingham Beach

A group of thugs are on the run after breaking into a campervan and bashing a pair of campers near a popular beach south of Perth.
The terrifying armed robbery unfolded early on Saturday morning when an unknown vehicle entered a carpark on Rockingham Beach Road, near Kwinana.
Several people exited the vehicle about 1.45am before breaking into a parked white Mitsubishi Express campervan, assaulting two male victims — aged 46 and 31 — and stealing their personal belongings.
“During the incident, the 46-year-old man was sprayed with an unknown substance,” a police spokesperson said.
The campervan sustained extensive damage.

Sign upBoth victims were taken to Rockingham Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The offenders fled the scene in what is believed to be a white Ford Territory or “similar vehicle”.
Detectives urge anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone vision relating to the incident — including the vehicle of interest — to upload it directly to investigators via the following link.
