Metricup crash involving Freightliner truck and two cars leaves one woman dead, another injured

A woman is dead after a horrific crash in Metricup where a truck collided with two cars on Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 3.45pm when a truck towing trailers collided with a Volkswagon Tiguan and a Suburu Outback on Bussell Highway near Harmans Mill Road.

Emergency services attended the scene and the 53-year-old woman driving the Subaru was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital but died from critical injuries.

The 28-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen was admitted to Busselton Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The 56-year-old driving the Freightliner truck stopped at the accident but wasn’t injured.

Bussell Highway remained closed on Saturday morning for Major Crash investigators to examine the scene.
