2025 Mullewa District Agricultural Show back for its 91st year, promising fun, frivolities and fireworks

It’s that time of year again — show time!
The Mullewa District Agricultural Show returns for its 91st year on Saturday, August 30, promising a packed program of family fun, competitions and community spirit.
This year’s free-entry event at the Mullewa Recreation Ground will feature a lively sideshow alley, bustling market stalls, and attractions including Radrock’s high ropes and obstacle bouncy course, laser tag, pony rides, Old McDonald’s Farm and a “have a go” circus workshop.
Entertainment will run all day, with a circus stage show, freestyle motocross demonstrations, live music and a fireworks finale.
Inside the pavilion, the spotlight will be on community talent with competitions across poultry, photography, art, flowers, fruit and vegetables, cooking, needlework and crafts.
Crowds will also gather ringside for the Quick Shear and Mullewa Gift foot race, which has a $10,000 prize purse.
This year’s rural ambassador is a local sheep farmer, mother-of-three and Mullewa Community Group president Jemma Mills, who said the event held a special place in her heart.
“I’ve been attending the Mullewa Show since I was a child, and I love that my kids now get to experience the same joy showcasing their creations in the pavilion and running in the Mullewa junior gift,” she said.
“I value community involvement and enjoy helping bring local events to life. I’m proud to call Mullewa home and am passionate about seeing our little town thrive.”
City of Greater Geraldton mayor Jerry Clune said it was an exciting time of year for the town as wildflowers started to bloom.
“I’m especially excited for the Mullewa Agricultural Show this year which will have free entry thanks to sponsorship from Community Bank Geraldton Bendigo Bank and will coincide with Outback Bloom Mullewa’s Wildflower Festival, with both events being highlights on the Mullewa calendar and provide a great opportunity to experience the town,” he said.
The Mullewa Show is regarded as one of the Mid West’s most vibrant annual events, drawing visitors from across the region to celebrate the town’s agricultural heritage and strong community spirit.
