Geraldton’s Shane Giudice-Nairn earns selection in WA Open State bowls team

Local lawn bowls stand-out Shane Giudice-Nairn has notched another achievement under his belt after being selected in the WA Open men’s State team.

The WA High Performance Panel selected the squad of 12 players for men’s and women’s that will represent the State at Tweed Heads in October for the National Side Series.

Geraldton Bowling Clubs own Giudice-Nairn is one of three men who have earnt their debut selection, with the Geraldton product in the third rink.

He is recently coming off the State Fours title alongside teammate Ben Leggett who also earnt a debut selection to the State side.

The Mid West local is one of just two regional players to be selected into the men’s team, with Wagin’s Warren Holt the other country player representing the side.

The team now has two and a half months to prepare before they travel to New South Wales for the National Series from October 17-20.
