Police charge 56yo man with criminal damage for allegedly placing nails under vehicles’ tyres in Jurien Bay

A 56-year-old man has been charged with criminal damage after he allegedly placed nails under the tyres of two vehicles in separate incidents last month in Jurien Bay. Local police allege that on April 3 the man located a vehicle in the carpark of the Jurien Bay Shopping Centre and put nails under the tyres. It is further alleged the man targeted this vehicle after a verbal disagreement with its owner at Jurien Bay Skatepark on March 29. Police also say that on April 14 the man again attended the Jurien Bay Skatepark and placed nails under the tyres of a mobile food trailer before leaving the area. The man was arrested on April 17 and has been charged with two counts of criminal damage. He is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 7.
