The Cripps cousins are celebrating massive wins with West Coast dominating in derby 58 and Carlton ending the Giants’ winning streak.

West Coast won back-to-back games for the first time since 2021 with the 16.9 (105) to 10.8 (68) victory, as they picked up the derby win after five straight losses against the Dockers.

Northampton talent Jamie Cripps applied the heat up front in the win, finishing with a game high 25 pressure acts.

He provided help in the forward line that has finally found its groove, with 13 disposals, six marks, five tackles, three clearances and a goal.

Tyler Brockman had one of his better games in the blue and gold uniform, proving to be an asset even without the ball in his hand.

Despite having just 12 disposals, Brockman gained 306m and made three tackles with one clearance in the win.

On the losing side was Railways’ Jaeger O’Meara, who ran out a full game for the first time this season after Freo was forced to use their sub in the first quarter with Jye Amiss coming out.

He gathered 13 disposals, two marks, two tackles, four clearances and one goal assist.

After coming off their first loss of the season, Carlton had to face an undefeated GWS Giants.

When the two sides played last year, Northampton talent Patrick Cripps put up a career high in disposals with 42 as they picked up the early win.

In the contest on Saturday, the skipper nearly did it again as he finished three shy of his career peak and dominated in the centre of the ground, helping the Blues get up 17.15 (117) to 15.8 (98).

The captain put up his best game of the season with 39 disposals, 13 clearances, seven tackles and one goal assist.

Chapman Valley’s Jack Carroll entered the game in the second half as the sub again, totalling nine disposal and one mark in his limited time on field.

On Sunday, a rested Sydney Swans side coming off a bye faced off against the Gold Coast Suns in a lopsided contest.

The Swans, with WA local Logan McDonald, ran up the score in the 17.8 (110) to 8.9 (57) thrashing of the Suns.

McDonald booted two goals, with his first coming in the third quarter off a set shot and his second being Sydney’s final score at the game.

The former Coorow Magpie finished with five disposals, four marks and kicked 2.1 in the win.

Liam Ryan’s return to AFL action was delayed another week and he instead played in the Eagles’ WAFL loss to Peel Thunder.

In his second game of football since suffering an injury early last season, Ryan had 17 disposals, two marks, five tackles and kicked a behind.
