William John Broomham: Geraldton landscaper pleads guilty to stealing client’s jewellery worth over $25K
A Geraldton landscaper has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $25,000 worth of jewellery from a client’s home after appearing in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on Monday.
William John Broomham, 57, was working at a Woorree property when he accessed the home multiple times between February 7 and 28, stealing rings valued at $25,595.
Police later recovered items believe to be linked to the theft during a search of a Wonthella property on April 8.
Broomham was previously arrested on a warrant after failing to attend an earlier court date.
In court on Monday, he pleaded guilty to home burglary, two counts of stealing, and two counts of gains benefit by fraud.
He will return to Geraldton Magistrates Court in November.
