With Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s skimpy bars forced into coronavirus shutdown, a local agency has turned to home delivery to keep the money rolling in for its girls and guys.

La Femme Fatale Agency has this week introduced “Uber Teets”, whereby skimpies and himpies — male skimpies — will deliver food to the customer’s door.

The move was prompted after the nation’s pubs were shut on Monday, leaving skimpies across Australia without an income.

It proved so successful on the first night that wait times for deliveries blew out to 45 minutes.

Agency owner Natalie Poole said the prospect of facing an indefinite period without income was a scary prospect for the town’s skimpies.

“I have about 12 local skimpies and a couple of himpies, so I am just trying to help them out as much as I can because we are all in the same situation,” she said.

“I have thought about this in the past ... people need to eat and they are missing seeing skimpies, so let’s invite the two together and see what happens. It won’t replace what we were making behind the bar, but at least it is something.”

The skimpies are adhering to social distancing rules, keeping 1.5m away from customers and using face masks, gloves, Glen 20 and hand sanitiser.

Touching is barred, and money is being exchanged over the phone.
