Truck driver questioned over pedestrian's Mid West truck stop death
A man who died on a highway in Western Australia’s Mid West region overnight is believed to have been hit by a truck and police are now questioning a driver.
Police and St John Ambulance officers attended a truck stop on Brand Highway in Warradarge about 6.30pm on Wednesday where they found an injured man.
The man, believed to be aged in his 40’s from Perth, was provided emergency first aid but died at the scene.
“The circumstances surrounding the man’s injuries and death are being investigated, and at this time it is believed he was struck by a truck,” police said in a statement on Thursday.
A truck has been seized and will be forensically examined, while the driver is being questioned.
