When police arrived only three people were still in the vehicle. Elsie and Dakota had walked away and did not return.

Concerns are held for the teenagers’ safety as they are believed to be with limited water supplies.

While it is not known if the pair made their way to Great Northern Highway, police would like to speak to any motorist who saw or gave a lift to two females walking along the highway or any other nearby road.

Anyone who sees either of the females is urged to call police on 131 444.
