Man charged over BB gun incident at Whim Creek

Roebourne Police have charged a man after an incident in Whim Creek yesterday where he was allegedly seen wielding what turned out to be a toy gun.

It will be alleged around 11:30am the man was seen by several people at the service station with what appeared to be a handgun.

It is understood when police arrived, the man was taken into custody and a BB gun was located.

A 36-year-old man from Kallaroo was charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited drug.

He will appear in the Karratha Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 20.
