Delays expected as trains on Mandurah line cancelled due to technical issue
Travellers on their way to work have been left stranded on the Mandurah train line due to a technical issue.
Trains on the Mandurah line were cancelled between Cockburn Central and Rockingham.
Trains resumed running around 8.30am with minor delays still expected as services return to normal.
A traveller heading north said the train suddenly stopped and the power went out just before 7am.
It was about 30 minutes before a rescue service arrived, which worked to move the train to the closest station.
Train replacement buses were being organised between Cockburn Central and Rockingham.
A Transperth spokesperson said to allow extra travelling time and be aware that replacement buses may not connect with timetabled bus and train services.
