An old hotel will re-launch in Perth this week, but not as you know it.

The venue once known as The New Esplanade Hotel is preparing to re-launch as Quay Perth following a two-year, $10 million renovation.

The renovation, which capitalises on views across Elizabeth Quay, is a far cry from what the venue offered in recent years.

“I think if anyone’s been on Trip Advisor, they’ve had a good idea of how run-down the property was,” H&M Capital director Junhao Tan said.

The new Quay Perth will be an 80-room boutique hotel with co-working spaces for lease. Hotel management are spruiking they’re the first hotel in Australia to embrace the co-working concept.

The venue also has a rooftop bar with an Asian-inspired menu.

And they’re not worried about the spectacular views being blocked by future Elizabeth Quay development, either.

“With the renders that Brookfield have put forward on the site, we sit right in the middle of it, so our views are unimpeded,” Tan said.

The cheapest rooms at Quay will be 150 dollars a night, but an opening special will be available from 114 dollars.

The best rooms will be available for $240 a night during low season.
