Victoria Police have implored a man described as armed and dangerous to hand himself in as he remains wanted over the death of a man at Frankston.

Homicide Squad detectives launched a major manhunt for Christopher Hillman after a 34-year-old was found dead inside a Rassay Court house at the weekend.

Police have described the man’s death as suspicious and for the last several days have been hunting Mr Hillman.

They warned that the 42-year-old was armed and dangerous and urged the public not to approach him.

“We are asking for Christopher to resolve this matter peacefully and safely and to come forward and make contact with police,” Detective Superintendent Paul O’Halloran said.

“We want to resolve this in a peaceful and safe manner.

“We’d also urge anyone who knows Christopher Hillman or his whereabouts to provide that information.”

After several days of searching, officers have appealed to the public for help to locate Hillman, who was described as being 190cm tall, muscular with a shaved head.

Victoria Police also said he had a distinctive throat tattoo which said “Chloe”.

It’s believed that Hillman and the dead man were known to each other

Hillman was known to frequent the Frankston, Seaford and surrounding areas, police said as part of their appeal, and he is believed to be using several vehicle to move around.

“We believe that Hillman is in possession of a firearm and is considered dangerous,” Detective O’Halloran said.

“We’re asking that members of the community not approach him if they see him.”
