Sean Forman’s dominance of Goldfields second division eight ball continued at the weekend when he took out the closed singles, defeating Chris Hicks in the final.

Forman’s victory made it three straight wins in the event, and four of the past five, to truly call the event his own.

In only his first season of competitive eight ball, Hicks’ effort in finishing runner-up was full of merit and both players will be key ingredients within their teams at this weekend’s eight ball country week.

Making up the top-four were Kain Aukaha and Steve Cameron.

Meanwhile, in domestic first-division action, Tower Jokers’ consistent form was finally rewarded when they defeated Grand Rack and Sack, while Star and Garter Pirates inflicted Country Club Cobras’ first defeat of the season.

Second division winners were Main Reef Breakers, Grand Mafia and Grand Workers.

In tonight’s first division matches, Cobras will look to get back on the winners’ list when they host Trolley Boys, while Rack and Sack will be looking for a much-needed victory when they take on Pirates.

Eight ball action focuses on Perth this weekend when the Goldfields sends five teams to the annual country week titles.

The event will be at the WA eight ball headquarters at Queens Park on Saturday and Sunday.
