Rideshare giant Uber has confirmed the planned expansion of its service to Kalgoorlie-Boulder will also include launches in the towns of Coolgardie and Esperance.
The popular rideshare company this week announced it was looking for driver partners to sign up ahead of its upcoming Kalgoorlie-Boulder launch with a date set to be confirmed once a strong network of drivers is established.
On Friday it was confirmed the rollout would also include Esperance and Coolgardie.
It comes almost 18 months after Uber launched its food delivery service, Uber Eats, in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Uber Australia and New Zealand head of driver operations Daniel Lopez said he was excited to be preparing to bring Uber to the community, offering flexible earning to residents.
“Driving with Uber means earning on your own terms — whether that’s supplementing an existing income, saving towards a goal or working around other commitments,” he said.
“Driver partners can choose when and how often they drive, with weekly earnings and in-app safety support and features designed to give them confidence on the road.
“We encourage anyone who’s interested to sign up as soon as possible, as the onboarding process can take at least three to four weeks.”
Sign-up offers for new driver partners will be on offer.
