Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor: Prince Edward and Sophie forced to stay elsewhere as Andrew still at Wood Farm
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have been forced to stay in a “holiday let” over the Easter weekend after disgraced former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor refused to leave Wood Farm.
Prince Edward and his wife Sophie were the first to visit Mr Mountbatten-Windsor after the former prince’s shock arrest in February.
The ex-duke has spent the last couple of months in isolation at Sandringham after he was kicked out of the Royal Lodge by King Charles.
The royal family have distanced themselves from Mr Mountbatten-Windsor due to his ties with convicted paedophile and disgraced financier, Jeffrey Epstein.
However on Saturday, his brother Edward visited Mr Mountbatten-Windsor for a “quiet word”.

The Duke and Duchess reportedly wanted to spend Easter at Wood Farm in Sandringham like they had done in previous years, but had to settle for the estate’s Garden House as Mr Mountbatten-Windsor is yet to move out.
“Andrew was evicted from Royal Lodge at Windsor but now has two homes at his disposal,” an insider told The Sun.
“He’s just going back and forth between Wood Farm and Marsh Farm.
“It’s got to be sorted as Edward and Sophie like to use Wood Farm.”
This is understood to be part of the reason for Edward’s visit — to speak to his brother about the move.
“Edward was meant to be staying at Wood Farm as he regularly books it for Easter, but his brother was there,” a source told The Sun.
“Andrew has been dragging his heels. He could have moved by now, but has been reluctant. Edward has had a quiet word with his brother.”
Edward and Sophie instead stayed at the Gardens House, 274 metres from the main Sandringham House. It sleeps eight and was once home to the estate’s head gardener.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s move out deadline was believed to be the Easter weekend, however, renovations on his new long-term home of Marsh Farm have halted the move.
He was spotted driving alone with two dogs on the Sandringham Estate on Easter Sunday, with no reports of the former prince receiving any visitors.
