Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to welcome a little girl, the couple has confirmed.

Speaking with talk-show queen Oprah, Harry revealed little Archie — the son he shares with wife Meghan — would soon have a little sister.

“It’s a girl,” Harry said.

When Winfrey asked about his reaction, Harry said: "Amazing. Just grateful. To have any child any one or any two would be amazing. But to have a boy and a girl, what more could you ask for?"

The couple suggested their new bundle of joy — who Harry said was due between June and September, in the northern “summertime” — will complete their family.

In February an "overjoyed" Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting.

The couple shared a black and white picture of themselves under a tree with Harry resting his hand on Meghan's head as she lies in his lap cradling her bump.

The photographer of the announcement photo, Misan Harriman, a longtime friend of the couple, reflected on capturing the moment on Instagram.

"Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow," he wrote.

The couple welcomed their first son, Archie Harrison, in May 2019.

During the interview, Meghan said while she was pregnant with Archie, unidentified royals had "concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he is born".

The comments, she said, were made to Harry and relayed to her by her husband.

But she declined to say who in the royal family voiced those concerns, saying "I think that would be very damaging to them".
