More light has been shed on ex-royal Sarah Ferguson’s messy romantic life, with revelations she had a secret “friends with benefits” arrangement with another now-convicted sex offender.

While much attention has been focused on the former Duchess of York’s friendship with disgraced paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, it has now emerged she was also in a years-long sexual relationship with deviant Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

In an extract from his new book, Entitled, published by Daily Mail, royal biographer Andrew Lownie reveals bombshell details of their trysts.

“Look at (Ferguson’s) long history; every man she dated or associated with had a controversial past – they all have sleazy and chequered pasts. She likes to live on the edge. She can’t settle down with a good man. It would bore her to tears,” a palace source told Lownie.

Another source in Palm Beach said she wanted to marry someone “wealthy and powerful” in the US and if Epstein, who had been financially supporting her for years, had popped the question she would have said yes, even after he was a convicted of procuring a minor for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute.

But Ferguson also had eyes for Combs, who was last year found guilty of transportation for prostitution and sentenced to 50 months behind bars.

The pair first met at a party thrown by Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell in 2022, with a “friends with benefits” relationship beginning two years later.

That arrangement reportedly lasted for years.

A former employee at Combs’ Bad Boy Records said the rapper was obsessed with the royal family, the book reveals.

He had bragged about “slamming” Sarah and, sickeningly, had said “he could not wait until Fergie’s daughters come of age”.

Ferguson introduced daughters Beatrice and Eugenie to Combs and they met many times, including at one of Combs’ notoriously wild parties on board his yacht in 2006. That party was attended by a 16-year-old Eugenie.

Sordid details of the affair between Ferguson and Combs have now been revealed, with the pair reportedly meeting up at luxury hotels in Europe and Africa.

“They’d meet in luxurious hotels… They once stayed at a seven-star hotel that was over £50,000 (A$94,000) a night. They spared no expense,” Lownie was told by a royal family insider.

Combs even credited Ferguson in 2006 when he launched his own perfume, Unforgivable. He said it was inspired by her and how she liked a man to smell.

Ferguson has been keeping a low profile since late 2025 after the Epstein scandal saw her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, stripped of all royal titles and honours and booted from the former couple’s home at Royal Lodge by the King.
