A severe weather warning has been issued for the Western Australian coast, with a cold front bringing thunderstorms and showers this morning.

Heavy rainfall is expected to hit the State’s South West — from Jurien Bay to Walpole —in the early hours of tomorrow, with the slow moving front to produce showers over Perth just after 5am.

Thunderstorms are also expected, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

Locations that may be affected include Bunbury, Busselton, Mandurah, Manjimup, Margaret River, Perth, Dunsborough, Gingin, Harvey, Jurien Bay, Lancelin and Yanchep.

The Department of Fire and Emergency services has advised people to take precautions, as rainfall may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.
