Rockingham detectives charge 30-year-old man after car fire in Parmelia

Rockingham detectives have charged a man after a two-month investigation into a car fire in Parmelia.

Emergency services were called about 10.35pm on Friday, December 22, after a black Subaru Impreza at a Meares Avenue home caught fire in the driveway.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services workers put out the blaze but the car was destroyed.

A second car parked in front of the Subaru was also damaged.

Detectives have charged a 30-year-old man from North Coogee with criminal damage by fire, unlawful damage and two counts of making a threat.

He is scheduled to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on April 8.
