CinefestOZ on the lookout for volunteers to help run expanded festival line-up across South West

Organisers of the South West’s largest film festival have put the call-out for volunteers to help run this year’s expanded event. CinefestOZ will return this year on August 31, with nine days of film screenings and events across locations in the Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River areas. Festival organisers are looking for people to volunteer as part of their movie crew, with jobs on offer including film hosts, event and hospitality crews, bar attendants and festival promoters. Chief executive Cassandra Jordan said the crew, who are recognisable by their red berets, are integral to helping deliver more than 200 screenings and events across the region. “Each year more than 300 amazing locals of all ages give their time to help us deliver Australia’s largest destination film festival, performing important roles to ensure the CinefestOZ experience is an exceptional one,” she said. The movie crew is being sponsored by Rio Tinto, with community relations specialist Meredith Dixon saying the company is proud to support this year’s volunteers.
