A pair of South West young guns have been recognised for eye-catching seasons at Peel Thunder with selection in the State’s under-18 squad.

Megan Bain, a product of South Bunbury’s remarkable women’s football dynasty, and Margaret River’s Ella Roberts, who made a name for herself with a stunning performance in a WAFLW grand final, have been picked in the squad.

Bain, an inside midfielder who has won three straight premierships with the Tigers, made her Peel Thunder league debut last season, while Roberts has already been touted as one of the State’s top AFLW draft prospects this year.

Roberts has already been named in the nation-wide AFLW Academy program ahead of what she hopes is her final year playing State football.
