Telethon has hit another massive milestone, raising a staggering $550 million since it began more than five decades ago.

The beloved WA fundraiser cracked the historical dollar mark on Sunday morning of this year’s Telethon weekend with everyone celebrating with a conga.

The huge milestone comes after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced on Saturday night the Federal Government would donate $6 million to Telethon.

The achievement has made a major dent in the Telethon appeal’s bid to top last year’s record $71.4 million raised, with over $18 million donated by 11am on Sunday.

The final day of the fundraising extravaganza has been full of fun-filled moments with Fat Cat shaking his tail to a rendition of Earth, Wind and Fire’s September alongside kids from the Valerie Heston School of Dance.

Emma Memma also took to the stage with her friend BB Butterfly to entertain all her little fans.

There is plenty more laughter, unscripted moments, and panels featuring some of your favourite stars to come.
